Review: Bioderma Créaline H20 Cleanser

October 30, 2011

Product

Bioderma
Créaline H2O cleanser

Price

It varies from website to website but I bought my 500ml bottle for £14 on Zuneta (after checking the site they have actually sold out but are expecting more this winter). Guru Makeup Emporium also sell it.

What does it claim to do?

"An extremely mild and gentle make up remover and face cleanser. Bioderma's Crealine H2O is a cult product loved by make up artists and models alike for its effective, gentle and hydrating properties for removing makeup over and over again. A Micellar lotion requiring no water to rinse it is hypoallergenic, soothing, fragrance & alcohol free." - Guru Makeup Emporium

What do I think?

My MAC cleanse off oil ran out last month and as much as I love it (and will definitely be repurchasing) I am always keen to try new cleansers, especially when they have glowing reviews. The Bioderma Créaline H2O cleanser is a really highly rated product and I've been using it for the past couple of weeks.

I apply it to a large cotton wool pad and then remove all of my make-up with it- simple. It feels like you are just applying water to your face but it obviously has some good stuff in it as it removes all make-up really easily, even waterproof mascara. It feels so gentle and lovely on the skin and my skin has had no breakouts since using it. After using it my skin feels super clean and really refreshed. Whereas with the MAC cleanse off oil I would cleanse a second time, with the Bioderma it's a one step process. The most annoying thing about the Bioderma Créaline is that its not readily available (unless you live in France, lucky folk) but it does seem to be popping up more online which is great.

Would I re-purchase?

Yep! This is a fantastic cleanser.

On the subject of cleansers and skincare I have written an article over at Boxed which is about my top 5 skincare products. Go read!

  1. This is definitely an essential for me, although I mostly just use it for removing eye make-up.
