Elemental Herbology Serum and Body Lotion

August 12, 2013
Meet Elemental Herbology; a luxury skincare brand that combines natural ingredients with the high-performance of cosmeceutical brands. The brand launched in 2008 and is founded by Kristy Cimesa, who has worked in the spa and skincare industries for over fourteen years.

Their hero product is the Elemental Herbology Cell Food Facial Serum* which is described as 'radiance in a bottle'. It is an anti-ageing power house of proteins, vitamins and anti-oxidants and can be applied every night after cleansing. It claims to:

♥ Transform dull skin and promotes radiance
♥ Reduce pigmentation and balance the complexion
♥ Boost the skin to protect against pollution
♥ Soften and improve the skin's texture

I've been trying this serum for the past two weeks as I want to start incorporating a serum into my daily skincare routine and I really like it. The consistency is very light and absorbs quickly into the skin, it has a lovely subtle scent and you only need one big squeeze from the pipette (great phrase there). This little bottle will be lasting me for some time! My skin has been looking great and so far, I've been really impressed.

The Elemental Herbology Watermelon & Cucumber Body Moisturiser* is a high performance body moisturiser that soothes and cools the skin while helping to optimise the life of your tan. It is light and non-greasy and incorporates cooling and nourishing botanicals. This body lotion is absolutely perfect for summer - I thought that the scent could be quite overpowering but it's very subtle and the scent is more herbal than fruity. It absorbs really quickly and doesn't leave skin feeling at all sticky. The cooling quality also means that it can be used as an after-sun.

The Serum costs £42 and the Body Lotion costs £21. They are both available from www.elementalherbology.com.

Neom Organics Room Mist

August 06, 2013
Another month, another Neom product. I just can't get enough of them! Today I'm introducing you to their Home Treatment Room Mists. The room mist can be spritzed anywhere in the home, from bedspreads and pillows to carpets and curtains - or just around the room to scent it. Each scent also provides a different treatment for the mind. The mist is made from a blend of pure essential oils, spring water and pure grain alcohol - they are 100% natural and contain 95% certified organic ingredients.

There are four available scents to choose from:

♥ Tranquility - English Lavender, Jasmine & Brazilian Rosewood for a perfect night's sleep.

♥ Refresh - Sicilian Lemon & Fresh Basil for an uplifting feeling every morning or as a replacement for your morning coffee.

♥ Complete Bliss - Moroccan Blush Rose for a romantic night in.

♥ Real Luxury - Lavender, Jasmine & Brazilian Rosewood for the ultimate treat and indulgence.

I have been trying the Tranquility scent and it is truly lovely. Although I think the scent would be too much to be sprayed on my pillow (for example) it is perfect for filling the whole room which a gorgeous fragrance. The scent lingers for a long time too.

The Neom Organics Room Mist cost £16 each and can be purchased from www.NeomOrganics.com.

L'Oreal Paris Super Liners

August 04, 2013
L-R: Blackbuster; Perfect Slim; GelMatic; Brow Artist

The L'Oreal Paris Super Liners are my absolute favourite eyeliners. They are the ones that I re-purchase and recommend to friends - they are so easy to work with and provide such a black line. They are eyeliner perfection.

L'Oreal sent me this delightful box filled with their Super Liner range* as a graphic liner look is set to be big for AW13 (eep- I don't like thinking about Autumn and Winter in the middle of summer!). Designers such as Temperley London, Preen, Louis Vuitton and Anna Sui made the most of using eyeliner and created a range of bold graphic liner looks in their catwalk shows.

L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Blackbuster is their first graphic eye marker which has been specially designed to recreate those catwalk looks. It's smooth glide and black ink formula produce an intense graphic eyeliner with a daring bold look. This is best used for a thick line (as I don't know how you would attempt a subtle look with this one!). The Blackbuster costs £6.99.

L'Oreal Paris Super Liner GelMatic is their first Gel liner in an automatic pen that combines the intensity and shine of a Gel and the precision of a pen format. It is best for a medium line and has extra dispersed pigments to give smudge proof results that last. The GelMatic costs £5.99

L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim is great for producing a thin line and this is one of my favourites as it is so easy to use. It has a 0.4mm tip and provides a stylish and intense sweeping line. It also gives optimum control when applying as it has a special grip zone hold. Even though it's ideal for a thin, subtle line you can also build it up to make it more dramatic and hold the pen in a slightly different way to create a thicker line- you can see from my photo swatches above. The Perfect Slim costs £6.99 (and is worth every penny!).

L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Brow Artist was introduced specially for AW13 and is the first brow product in the L'Oreal Paris range. Simply use the pencil to fill in your brows and create the shape that you want, and then use the clear fixing wax pencil to hold them in place and finish the look. There are a variety of shades available and this one is in brunette. The Brow Artist costs £5.49.

The L'Oreal Paris' Super Liner range offers the tools to create your favourite graphic liner look and they are challenging everyone to show these off by tweeting @LOrealParisUK with the hashtag #LineOfBeauty.

Have you tried any of the Super Liners?
