A long weekend in Center Parcs

September 28, 2014

Center Parcs holds such a special place in my heart. I have been visiting since I was 11 and must have been around ten times now. It's one of those holiday places that always feels like a second home to me- Center Parcs and Florida are the only places in that category so it must be special! Do you have places that feel like that? I'd love to know!

A couple of weekends ago, my family and I (plus Chris and my brother's girlfriend Georgina) spent a long weekend in their Sherwood Forest village. We had the best time. We did all of the usual activities that we do like swimming (aka- going round the rapids repeatedly), badminton, cycling and table tennis but also ventured into new territory by playing some adventure golf (we went from not playing it in years to doing 18 holes, needless to say our attention had waned by the end!), taking part in the family quiz and my parents, brother and Georgina also took part in aerial adventure, high up in the trees.

A trip to Center Parcs is never complete without a trip to the Pancake House- mmmm, just look at that stack of chocolate covered pancakes. They were so delicious! We also had a couple of meals at Cafe Rouge which were very good.

We're already hoping to go again next year and I have been checking out Woburn Village as it looks shiny and new and amazing! Are you a Center Parcs fan?

    1. The extra activities can be expensive but they really do vary- you can do bowling for £7 an hour but then the aerial adventure is like £38 so does range! It can be a really low cost break (if you just do cycling, swimming and bring your own food) or a really expensive one! X
