Bath & Body Works Buys

May 29, 2014
I really hope that Bath & Body works come to the UK - it has to be one of my favourite shops in the US. I could then buy the full sized candles in all their glory as I wouldn't have to try and squeeze them into a suitcase!

We went shopping in Orlando Premium Outlets (highly recommend for shopping as you get great discounts) and I was very happy to see that they had Bath & Body Works. Chris and my sister left me to it as I spent quite a while deciding what to buy. I eventually settled on three of the ever so cute mini candles in Watermelon Lemonade, Garden Strawberry and Pink Petal Tea Cake (it was three for $10) - Watermelon Lemonade is my favourite at the moment.

It was buy two, get one free on their fragrance body ranges too. Last year I bought the Beautiful Day fragrance mist and it now always reminds me of Florida so I thought I'd complete the set and bought the shower gel, body lotion and 2 in 1 body scrub and wash. I love so many of the scents that they do but Beautiful Day has to be my favourite- the store assistant told me that it was a limited edition scent for Mothers Day last year but was so popular that they made it permanent. It has top notes of apple, pear and cassis - scrummy!

I couldn't leave without buying the mini anti-bacs (and also a full size of the Caribbean Escape for my desk) as these are just so handy and smell incredible- none of that horrid alcohol smell that comes through with most anti-bacs. They are also a really good dinky size.

Please come to the UK, Bath & Body Works! I will be happy forever!

My Florida Holiday Essentials

May 25, 2014

You may have noticed that my blog has been a bit neglected of late. I have been lacking some serious blog motivation and have also been in Florida on holiday for the past 3 weeks. I've come back with a renewed enthusiasm and am hoping to fill this little internet spot with lots of lovely posts!

I have had the best time in Florida; it was filled with my favourite people, sunshine and happiness and I wanted to stay out there forever. I may do a few posts sharing some of my photos but today I thought I'd show you some of the products that I couldn't have done without in the sunshine state.

Obviously suncream was a must while we were out there. I've become a fan of the higher factor suncreams and my favourite was the Neutrogena Beach Defence Sunscreen as it smells so lovely. It's not readily available in the UK so I bought a few while I was out there- but from a quick google you can buy it from a few websites including fishpond.co.uk which has free delivery (although I've not bought from there before so can't totally vouch for it).

I also very much enjoyed using a couple of Banana Boat products. We tried their Sport Performance spray suncream which was so convenient and easy to use- great for a day in the Disney parks where you want to spray and go. I don't think they are as efficient as a normal sunscreen as you do tend to waste some as you spray but it's just so handy! The Banana Boat Aloe Vera After Sun has also been a saviour to my skin at the end of each day and was definitely a holiday essential.

When I'm on holiday I like to use a refreshing shower gel and this offering from Organic Surge was perfect. Their Tropical Bergamot Shower Gel* contains sweet orange and bergamot essential oils, creating a lovely tropical scent that is great for holidays. It's a thick formula which feels moisturising and comes in a great big bottle too.

It's really important to protect your hair from the sun when on holiday and so the Charles Worthington Sunshine Protection shampoo was great. I like to buy minis to take out with me and then usually buy a full sized product when I'm there. My skin essentials whilst in Florida were the Yon Ka Paris Lotion* - strangely I can't find it on their website but it's basically a mist that tones and cools skin. So handy and easy to use when it's hot. The Liz Earle toning spritzer is a similar product that works just as well.

And finally - the Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Mask. I used this a couple of times while I was away to inject some moisture into my skin. You apply the mask and then leave for 10 minutes before rinsing off - it's a lovely creamy formula that smells gorgeous and delivers a big helping of hydration.
