When you put a smoothie recipe up on your blog, you want it to look beautiful and delicious. This sadly doesn't fit the bill, but it's full of good ingredients and tastes pretty good. I love the texture from the chia seeds and ground flaxseed, and the banana and blueberry provides the sweetness.
My parents bought my the Breville Blend Active (currently only £15.50 from Tesco) for Christmas and I have been using it non-stop ever since. It's the most convenient blender ever as you simply add the ingredients to the bottle, blend them up and then swap the blade attachment for the lid so you're ready to go! It also takes up hardly any space and has minimal washing up.
I'll admit that I am pretty rubbish at eating fruit and veg so smoothies have become the best way for me to get a good dose. I am going to start posting my favourite recipes and this is the first. I based it on the Ultimate Green Smoothie Formula which you can find here.
Large handful of spinach
A handful of frozen blueberries (I love using frozen berries as they make the smoothie cold, and are so much cheaper than buying fresh fruit)
1.5 cups almond milk
1 tbsp milled flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seeds
Simply add them all to the blender and get whizzing!
