Beauty: Current favourites

July 08, 2015

I haven't shared any beauty favourites in a while so wanted to post about the products that I have been loving over the past couple of months.

Hair
I tried a sachet of the Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair and was really impressed so have now bought the set a couple of times. It's really moisturising and always makes my hair look brighter and more shiny. The Pro:Voke Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo is a product I've been using for years and is a staple for me. It's a purple shampoo which you apply and leave on your hair for 5 minutes before rinsing out. It keeps my hair free of brassy tones and always looks better after using it. The final hair product is the Argan Oil heat defence leave in spray which I use before blow-drying, straightening and curling my hair - it smells delicious and was a bargain from Poundland.

Make-up
My absolute favourite product at the moment is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation. It is incredible - it smells of fruit and apples (so if you don't like scented products you won't enjoy this!) and the finish is just beautiful. It leaves skin looking flawless and glowy and lasts for hours too. I wore this when I was a Bridesmaid for my friend recently and it was perfect wedding make-up. I have also rediscovered an old favourite - Benefit's Erase Paste. This is a really heavy duty concealer and it covers dark eye circles like a dream.

The Naked Basics palette (full post on it here) has been what I've been turning to this week for a really natural eyeshadow look - the colours are so creamy and easy to apply and are perfect for a 'no make-up, make-up' look. And then finally, the much loved MaxFactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in soft pink - I have started using it on my lips as well as my cheeks and it gives a gorgeous pink colour.

Skin
I have two skincare products that I have been enjoying recently. La Roche-Posay's Serozinc has been very hyped in the blogger world and is a zinc sulphate solution which aims to help oily, blemish prone skin. I'll be honest, I don't know how much it has done for my skin but I just love using this - you spray it on your skin after cleansing and it is so refreshing. My final favourite is the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser - it sinks into skin super quickly and has a really subtle sheen to it which makes a lovely base for foundation.

What products have you been loving recently?
